Classes in Argentine tango in Lund
Where do I start?
Base and Mixed Colors are parts of Teresita’s course model, not labels indicating your skill level. Base Colors is for beginners as well as those who want to perfect the fundamentals. Mixed Colors is a deep dive into specific elements.
I am a beginner
Start with the Base Colors course currently running. You can begin with any color. The first lesson assumes you have no prior tango experience: no partner, no steps, and no particular sense of rhythm are required. You come here to learn—not to show off what you already know. The colors represent course themes, not skill levels or a specific sequence to follow. After completing Base Colors three times, you are ready for Mixed Color.
I have danced tango before.
Your experience is relevant to us, but level names and course structures vary between schools. The Base Colors courses are not an assessment of your level, but rather Teresita’s shared foundational training. If you have extensive experience, you can describe it in your registration, and we will help you find the right entry point into our model.
I’m already taking classes at Teresita.
Have you taken one or two Base Colors courses? Continue with the next Base course that suits you. After completing three Base Colors courses—in any combination—you can participate in Mixed Colors. Mixed is not a final level, but rather our system for endless, ongoing deepening of your skills over time.

You don't go home right after the lesson.
After the Base session, the evening continues with a 40-minute practica. Beginners can stay to ask questions, get to know one another, dance, and practice at their own pace. Meanwhile, participants in the Mixed group begin to arrive, warming up and meeting the rest of the group before their lesson starts.
